Annexes to the Basic Plan of the All-Hazard Emergency Operations Plan are designed for emergency function coordinators at the Emergency Operations Center.

Ten Annexes describe emergency functions that can apply to any type of emergency. One Annex is a shell with hyperlinks that can be modified by the local emergency management.

Each functional Annex contains:

  1. Job Description outlining general and specific duties
  2. Checklist that incorporates essential and time-critical tasks, special considerations, and priorities
  3. Tabs (appendices in SLG 101) containing reference information, special procedures and considerations

Annex Objectives:

1. Get coordinators into action: Start them on time-critical tasks.

  1. Tell coordinators what to do: wall posters, priorities, etc.
  2. Program initial work with a checklist. By the time a coordinator
completes the Mobilization Phase of the Checklist, they will know how they fit into the team.
  3. Help coordinators with reminders and priorities for specific hazards.
  4. Familiarize coordinators with essential reference information as they work through time-critical tasks in the Annex Checklist.

2. Present essential reference information in a quick look-up format
(tables, charts, etc.) for general and specific emergency situations.
