EOC Hurricane exercise simulates up to 87 realistic voice messages to an Emergency Operations Center focussing on evacuation and protection preparations for an approaching hurricane. The exercise begins with a Hurricane Watch. Forecast/Advisories provide the latest details on the status of the hurricane threat. The EOC Staff must react to information requests from a new jurisdiction administration, other agencies, and a higher jurisdiction EOC. Soon a Hurricane Warning is announced which changes preparation urgency. Later, a Hurricane Bulletin provides new data on hurricane development for EOC Staff reaction. Customizable Exercise Features: Intensity Category of 1 to 5 for the Hurricane upon arrival, map coordinates of EOC for realistic Advisories, names of local and supporting agencies and more. |
